Hellow and welcome!

Can you tell us more about your turtles (age, size) and how do you keep them now (what kind of tank/aquarium, what lights and heating and how do you feed them)? Photos, of course, would be great!

I was going to say what Double D said - that is, Do you have a light positioned over the landing dock/basking area? Also, the water should be a little cooler than the basking area to encourage them to climb out to get warmer.

Do you know water temperature? Can they actually climb out of the water onto basking platform? Do you keep them outside with natural sun or use lamps of any kind?

Also, I'll ask for help from @DoubleD1996!
No I don't know water temperature. Yes I keep them outside in my garden with natural sun I don't use any artificial lamps.

Where are you keeping them? Looks like a bathtub.
They need a heat source to bask. An artificial heat bulb and uvb bulb for proper shell growt, or natural sunlight, which can't be penetrated or filtered through a glass window.
It's a plastic tank .
Is it compulsory for them to bask in the summers? I think the weather is too hot that they are not basking at all🤔

So

So should I place a heat source at basking area or sunlight is enough?
The weather at my place is extremely hot that is why I think they preferred to be in water . I think they would come out when they feel cold.
Today I took them in the direct sunlight in a small container for 5 minutes and they are more interested in jumping out of the container rather then having some heat😅

Sorry about the mix up.

The natural sun should be enough if they're outside.

Make sure the water level is up to the basking level. Also try maybe adding a log or something. Something with texture that may be easier to climb on for them to bask.

You want to gave areas for them to retreat from the sun as you don't want them to boil.

Okk then I'll look for a log or something. Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi and welcome! Your turtles will be fine outside if they have a proper pond setup which is secure and safe from predators like dogs, cats, hawks, rats etc. use chicken wire to cover the enclosure. The turtles are scared to bask. They are nervous and afraid of everything including you hovering over them. They need plastic "seaweed" or natural pond plants to hide under. They will bask when the conditions are right and they can't see you!
