Hey everyone.
My names Dan. Hope you guys are well.
I joined this forum for a bit of guidence. I have a hermann tortoise named Mike. I got him for my 21st birthday. But once i moved i had no room for him so he has been well looked after by my perants.

Any how we shall be reunited soon as i have a bigger place so i came to research here to give him the best care i can. Table is almost complete!

Hi Dan and welcome!

Hermann's are awesome! We love pictures and would like to see some of the enclosure and tons of pictures of Mike. You are in good hands here. :)

Hello and Welcome:). How exciting to be able to bring him to now live with you again. I can't help with your species but there are tons of members here that can. Good luck

Welcome to the forum, Dan!

One of our members is very experienced with Hermanni. Be sure to read his care sheets, which we have pinned at the top of our Hermanni section.

So here it is so far. I feel i may need to move the heat lamp up higher but what do you guys think?
The top of his house comes off to clean him out.

Looks nice! I would measure the temperature beneath the lamp. With substrate and the height of the carapace it could be a bit close.

How big is the enclosure an how big is the tortoise? :)

With the sand/top soil mix the gap is narrow. I dont think he will touch it but it rather have distance.

Il let you know later pea.
