Hi, I need help identifying please :)

Hi, I'm a new turtle owner, got him off a friend, he said that it's a Reeves turtle who is no more than 5 years old.

After doing some more research I'm thinking it may be a male Cooter, or could even be a female.

If someone could help identifying him that would be great.

That is a slider - Trachemys, and probably an intergrade scripta/elegans

So that means an intergrade red-ear / yellow belly

If it was raised properly, it is the size of a 3 year old. It does look like it was raised properly and has good growth development form what I see.
