What turtle am I?

A friend of mine found this turtle, it was abandoned. Does anyone know what kind of turtle this is?
Anything would help so they could take care of it properly! Thanks.

I agree with Mark. It does look like an Eastern Mud Turtle.

Where was it found exactly? If found within the normal range, it may just have been out for a stroll which they do occasionally.

My friend just moved to Pennsylvania and posted that they found it.
I’m not sure which region in Pennsylvania!
I just happened to ask if they were keeping it and how they were going to take care of it. I was curious and she needed help identifying it.
