I have a quick question in regards to hickory nuts I have looked for information about hickory nuts and the only thing I can find is about walnuts my outdoor enclosure will be close to a hickory tree so I am concerned that some may fall into the enclosure and my torts eating one so if anyone has some information about them I would be excited to hear from you. Thanks in advance for your reply.

can't find EXACT information regarding the husks, however I would round them up and toss them out when they start falling. MY biggest concern would be that you've got foragers trained to get food from that area. SOOOO in theory your torts could end up underweight because the neighborhood squirrels will be taking their food. I have to lock my dogs in the house for 2 hours so they don't take my turtles/torts food
