How much of their time do Marginated tortoises spend buried in substrate? It's mostly all Emmett has done since I brought him home. Scared me half to death because I couldn't find him. Turns out he was buried and then under his log, LOL.
So is that hiding behavior pretty typical or is he scared and settling in, or is something wrong?

I sort of figured, and have been trying to leave him be. I do check on him once a day to make sure he's okay, but I haven't been picking him up. I'll leave him be and just keep putting new food in the tank. He ate some of the greens today, so that's good at least.
