Horsefield tortoisies shell colour

Hello,
My horsefield tortoise tilly (Male) has some grey coloration on his shell. I am assuming it is changing colour to black. Is this normal for horsefield tortoises?

It's just the natural patterning that happens as they grow.

yeah it just looks like natural coloring
