House plant help

My wife picked up this plant end of summer last year, all she remembers is it is supposed to help purifiy the air if anyone can give me more details id appreciate it.

Is it box turtle safe?
Care instructions?
Does it just grow upwards?
Does it produce smaller plants to be replanted?

Looks like a small dracaena. There are SO many variations of this plant.
I wouldn't offer this plant in any large amounts or very often.
You can Google it's care now that you have a name for it.

Thank you, i only asked about edible because my kids sometimes rip tge leaves so i thought maybe feed them, but I probably wont offer it.

It's called a corn stalk (Dracena massangeana). Dracena are considered by some to be poisonous to dogs and cats, however, I would have no qualms planting this in the box turtle area.

The cultivar is 'Pele'. I believe this is a form of Dracaena fragrans.
