It's my favorite time to watch him. I will title this one "half tuck". His right side is all tucked in while his left side and head are fully out!!

My turtle sleeps in the water at night all tucked in her shell . Are you still using a red bulb for your UVB light? They do not produce UVB so if that is the case you will want to purchase a light that has UVB ASAP. They sure lay around basking like life is good don't they.

Yes, the uvb is on for him all day. Please send pics next time you catch him. Mine used to do that, but I think has caught on to the comfort that is "spread eagle"!

lol I will do that. She is spread eagle during the day like a sun queen under her basking light. They sure have the life.

Most of mine sleep with a counterclockwise pattern. Ever notice that with yours? Most animals are left-handed...

This evening i went to give my little 3TBT a bath. I called out his name several times before i lifted his hide to reveal this. This is how i often catch him sleeping.
Despite the noise, the sudden bright light, and me thumping around getting a camera and taking close-ups, he still didn't move until i stroked his back a couple times. Then he suddenly yanked in, frightened. But recovered quickly.
