I was wondering if anybody knew how long Mazuri will stay good for. Assuming, of course, that I keep it dry and put away. I just didn't know if there is an experation date, or anything like that. I am thinking about buying a big bag, but I don't want to waste it. My local pet store ran out, now I am trying to get my own.

Thanks

I buy the 20lb bag 2 at a time. It's always good to the end of the bag, however, I'm feeding some pretty big appetites.

Some advise for you to bag it up in smaller portions and keep it in the freezer.

I have heard 1-2 years in a freezer but I may end up keeping it longer as I haven't even gone through 1/4 of a pound in the last year.

I've kept mine in the kitchen cabinet for over a year with no negative effects. Just had to arder another 3 lbs last month. As Sherman grows, so does his appetite, so It should be less than a year now!

Not necessarily a good thing. Some keepers have a hard time getting their shelled ones to eat anything other than mazuri
