How To Keep Substrate Moist?

When the heat lamp dries out the substrate beneath it, what is the best way to moisten it again? Can I just use a spray bottle of water and lightly spray it? I am using Exo Terra Plantation soil for my RT.

Yes...spray bottle, but mix in a good amount of water too. Pour some in, mix around, etc.
