So I just wanted to open a discussion in hides and which work best for providing proper humidity within.
At the moment, I am using a half cut, hollowed log. I soak in in a bucket of water twice weekly all day. And I ensure that substrate within the hide is always Moist.
What do y'all think of this? Why or why not?
And what are you guys doing to simulate a humid hide?

What kind of tortoise?
How old?
What's the temps within the enclosure and within the humid hide?

My guy has a burrow in his tank that I flood with warm water while he is out in his daily soak.

I really liked a hide that was posted on here by somebody (I can’t remember who but I’ll try to find it) it was a clay/terracotta plant pot with the saucer glued to the top and filled with water. The water constantly soaks into the clay and can easily be refilled without moving it.
