Oh, yay. Thank you for sharing that he's alive and what you are doing to heal the wound. It will help others. The sugar part was interesting. Glad he survived. Phew. Watta scare for both of you. Chamomile tea for you.

I'm pretty sure sugar is used to reduce swelling in big wounds. Sometimes until it shrinks enough to to close back up up( by itself or with help)
