Just wondered if anyone has an views or ideas about adapting indoor guinea pig cage for Russian tortoise use, was thinking about the ones with a large plastic base and wire top? any advice or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

A 50 gallon rubber maid storage bin is 15 dollars usually.
Building with wood will run bout 75 For 3x3
Also if a guinea pig cage would be suitable would depend how big he is and how big the cage is.

giunea pig cage is about 1.5 meters long and just over half meter wide. I live in UK and was concerned about being able to keep it wram enough. What is best to use as basking lamp wa going to put UV strip light in as well. Thanks for reply. only had him a week he is one year old currently living in a ventiated vivarium and seems to have settled in ok but was thinking he might need more ventilation.

I like using a MVB. Give light, heat and UVB. Otherwise you can also use CHE (ceramic heat emitter) for heat, does not give off light or UVB
