I got my Eastern Box Turtle when I lived in Pennsylvania. I've been living in Florida for 22 years and have been considering making an outdoor enclosure for him on the porch. The area is screened in so I'm not worried about predators and I can put it in the shade and use a heat/UVB lamp since it gets too hot. I bought a device to measure temperature and humidity and last night, in the shade the humidity reached 87% and it's not even summer yet. Is that too much? Would I be better off keeping him inside and raising the humidity of his enclosure? Thank you.
