Infection causing the tortoise's leg to swell

Hello,
Our tortoise started to limp and showed a sign of infection on its left side. Basically, the tissue protecting its left arm dissolved and its left leg started to swell and gangrene. The vet gave us an antibiotic and recommended to desinfect the leg and arm. However, despite the arm to get slowly better, the leg is getting worst and worst everyday. Our tortoise still eats but doesn't move more than necessary and we have no idea what to do now...
Have you ever seen something like that ?

What species is your tortoise and what antibiotics did they give you and the amount to administer?

Inspect the leg under a very bright light, looking for something wrapped around the leg like a hair. If you have an optivisor or magnfying glass that helps.

It looks as though it may have some form of Austwickia chelonae which is almost always fatal. Does the tortoise have any yellow bumps on its head or neck skin? Are any of the toenails missing? Are the upper and lower beaks OK or do they appear to be loose?
