My friend was going through the same thing with her tort, as to what I'm going through with mike in the winter months, she took him to the vet, he was given injections and she said he's never been better. Ive read on here though, that this is a no no??

Little more info needed. What is your tort doing? What is your friends tort doing? What kind of injection?

No idea what injections. And I've posted it in another thread "I think my tort is sick" but recently seen a lot of threads with torts having similar behaviour.

I think the only injection we say for you to refuse is the vitamin a,d,e injection. Too much vitamin A causes the turtle's skin to slough off.

A vet might give a sick tort an antibiotic injection. I see how this could help. Can you ask your friend what kind of injection it was?
