People are going to start thinking I'm the crazy tortoise lady...He's growing nicely. He's doubled in weight since I got him in August. I am a little concerned that his new growth isn't as smooth as I'd hoped. I'm going to rearrange some things again and get the humidity up higher.

He looks pretty good to me. Don't forget, to do the humidity for your species. Not all needs the higher humidity like the leopards and sulcatas or redfoots. Also, you probably know this, but UVB does not go thru glass. I am assuming that the sunning pics were just to be in the sunlight and warmth. BTW, I love the pics.

Very cool! I need to play around with Instagram more.

That's the best part about being here, no one will ever think of you as "the crazy tort lady!"
I don't talk to anyone about my torts. I hang around a bunch of soccer moms and they just don't understand it or get it.

Oh yeah, it was only about 50 out that day. He was just getting some exercise in the living room and he found a nice spot to sun himself. He's got the UVB light on his enclosure. I'm just so paranoid about pyramiding...I just know that now is the time to stop it I'd it is starting since he's only 6mos

I have 1 friend who gets it. She's got snakes and now wants a tort after meeting Paul. The rest of my friends and coworkers just smile and nod when I gush over him.
