Introducing my New Baby Leo!!!

He arrived yesterday perfectly!!! He was awake and took to his soak immediately . He's eatting, sleeping, & exploring his new home. He weighed in at 2 1/4" shell length and is 31grams. Thanks Greg T. Can't wait to see how this little guy grows!

Wellington, I'm raising him according to Toms threads! Although my little one doesn't want to sleep in his hide at night not sure why? Temps in there are 86 and 89% humidity. Overall temp is 84 and overall humidity is 84%. Any suggestion?

He wants to sleep on top of the hide under the CHE.

good job on the temps/humidity. some dont really care to go in the hide made up for them..are you sure the temp in the hide is 86? if hes going under the CHE perhaps he wants it a little warmer. just a thought.

Nate.Mann I have a temp/humidity monitor inside the hide...and the digital reader outside so I don't lose temp or humidity checking it. I can see if I can raise the hide temps & humidity...

oh okay, i wouldnt move it up more than just a couple degrees, if that. the temps are good where theyre at, but the little extra warmth may appeal a little more. if not, its not a big deal. torts each have their own preference as to where they crash out.

yeah he'll be okay. if the tort feels its becoming dehydrated, it will go in its water dish..or into the most humid area. theyre smart. haha
