Is it safe??

Is it safe to live in the same room as a tortoise while pregnant? I know it may sound silly but everyone has been asking me if its safe since I am currently 5 months pregnant,I hope someone can give me an honest answer! Thanks guys.

Id say yes as long as your washing your hands when your done handling your tort.

Unless you have terrible "Tortoise Alergies" I dont see why you couldn't.

Just about as safe as handling raw chicken (okay maybe more safe then chicken) and about as safe as handling raw veggies these days. As long as you do smart things like keep the tortoise and his dishes out of your food prep areas, keeping the tortoise out of your mouth (that includes no kissing), and wash your hands after touching him, any of his items, or anything they come in contact with. Make sure the hand washing is complete and is long enough (atleast as long as it takes to sing the alphabet song to your unborn child. ).

Nothing is going to float over on the air waves to give you or your unborn child any disease.
