Is this normal?

The other day it seemed like my little guy was trying very hard to poop. It seems that as the result of this his little anal hole was a little swolen. It's getting better now but i was wondering is this normal? I feed him a good amount of greens daily with some mazuri diet.

Hmmm, not sure. But I'd consider getting him switched to a higher fiber diet consisting of various types of hay grass (timothy, orchard grass, etc).

I would personally keep a close eye on him for the swelling the reduce, and see if he strains anymore. Consider going to the vet if things don't get better (do you have a vet the tort has already seen? If not, I'd do this anyways).

Did the poop eventually come out? Urate blockage is another possibility (my little guy had a tiny bladder stone awhile back) besides constipation. Usually greens give the runs for torts not constipation.
