homer.jpgI'm guessing this does not fit but for some reason he likes it even though I gave him all of the tools to burrow into something more fitting. I got a real genius here :tort:

So that is his thinking? He can't see me so I cannot see him? I kind of anticipated the smaller ones using the pot instead but they have taken residence underneath appropriate dugouts. Hmmm if he's happy then I am I suppose. It just makes me question his intelligence LOLOL.

Tortoises seem to instinctively try to wedge themselves into a hide when possible- tight burrows, low-hanging bark or rocks, close-set roots, etc. Mine always self select snug spaces when given the choice- but they are also red-footeds.

Hollie, I have to agree with you. I love my torties and all, but I can't say they've ever shown me anything that demonstrates extreme intelligence.:)
