Hi,
Anyone feeding JBL Herbil & JBL Agivert to their tortoises?

Would appreciate some reviews on this product. :)

Thanks!

It looks like it's an EU-only product, and very unpopular (searching google for "JBL Herbil" returns this thread as the first result!)

Found this site (in french): http://www.jardineriepasero.com/Jar...Herbil-stick-bio-pour-tortues-terrestres.html

"Organic plant food for tortoises - Box 1L. JBL ®
JBL Herbil contains a mixture of grasses and herbaceous plants specially adapted to the needs of tortoises. These plants come from organic, grown according to strict principles of the association Bioland, then carefully dried and pressed naturally and without any additive in granular form. Their high fiber content, with low protein content of high quality, ensures a slow and gradual in the intestine which allows an optimal effect of fiber and helps maintain healthy animals.

Zoom Herbil - Bio for your tortoises!
According to the preferences of animals, the granules can be given directly, either alone or mixed with grass. It is also possible to soak them before in a little water. The young growth should be fed several times a day. "

and for JBL Agivert:

"JBL Agivert stick for tortoises

Zolux
Food Sticks herb fields for tortoises - Box 1L. JBL ®
A blend of pure plant components specially adapted to the nutritional needs of tortoises. During the careful selection of plants, such as the grass fields, special attention has been paid to their high fiber and protein in their poverty, basic characteristics for the optimal functioning of the digestive system of terrestrial turtles.

Zoom Agivert - All the benefits of nature in one stick!
According to the tastes of animals, food sticks can be distributed directly softened beforehand or mixed herbs freshly cut fields. "

Agivert sounds like it's made for box turtles (sounds like it's higher in protein,) and Herbil is marketed towards tortoises.

Google converter says:
1 liter = 1.05668821 US quarts and 15.90 Euros = 22.75131 U.S. dollars

So you're getting only 1 quart of food for over $20 (not counting tax/shipping/whatever). I'd imagine you'd get a lot more for money just buying veggies from the grocery store and letting your tort graze on weeds/grass (if you have someplace safe for them to do so.)

Thank you, Kadaan, for doing the research for us. And a good answer to the OP's question.

I would want to know the exact ingredients and nutritional information as well as personal recommendations before I bought any commercial product for my tort.
