Hee! Sheldor. :) that's a cute name. :) I hope you can get your male! :D hrm.... Can you take... Let's say, an Ibera female... & breed it with aaaaaaaa... Golden Greek male, ill go with... & create a hybrid? Does that even work? I don't have a clue... But am curious.

If you get to selling those possible babies... I may have to buy one. Hehehe.

MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN:

3.2.0 Cats (Neeko, Bootsie, Bean (Special Needs), Puff (Special needs), Pokie)
1.0.0 Dog (Sidney (Special needs))
2.0.0 Bearded Dragons (Lochey & Zane (Special needs))
2.1.0 Leopard Geckos (Hopper, Spanky-Butt (Special needs), Rumi)
0.0.1 Greek Tortoise Hatchling (Mookie-Boo - Ibera species)
0.0.2 Fire Bellied Toads (Ellie, Teddy)
0.0.1 Emporer Scorpion (Mr. Pickles)
1.0.0 Betta Fish (Mr. Pook-Pook)
you can, but i wouldn't do that.... mixing subspecies is technical.... for example... I wouldn't put the "golden greek" with other T. graeca subspecies such as Iberas. The reason for that is that "golden greeks" seem to be laden with infectious organisms that don't affect them but are lethal to other subspecies and species.

>.< Received an email from my breeder! HATCHLINGS! IBERAS AND RUSSIANS!

I wish i can buy them all!

Huh. Learn something new everyday. :) so, does that go for ALL species? Not mixing them, as they each have different bacteria that affects others? By mixing, I don't mean breeding... But just the same enclosure? I've got a penpal who has a greek & a redfoot in the same enclosure. Well, they are not in the pen at the same time. They go out separately. Is that a bad idea? With poop & such from the other in there?

It's not ideal but some people does it. To be honest with you, tortoise are what we humans like to call "loner" it's actually best for them to be alone on their own enclosure. I will be placing Shelby and Squirtle one day at the same enclosure but at the same time have a separate enclosure ready if they end up bullying each other.

To each its own I guess.
