I let my tortoise walk around and he keeps bumping into things almost like he's trying to sniff it. Not hard at all just a tap, is it he's just curious of what's infront of him?

A bit of that and a bit of tortoises can't be bothered to walk round anything. They will always try to go over or through first!
Awesome! was just worries something was maybe in his eye or nose! But he seems fine, being very active and adventures.

I don't want to go off on a multi paged rant here, but, there are SO many stories of tortoises being injured by things that they've encountered while being allowed to roam the floor of a home. It is something that simply should not be done.
Also, there are several pet shop light bulbs that cause tortoise blindness and eye issues. Can you show us your lights?
And lastly, Welcome.:)

That is one of the coiled bulbs that have been associated with blindness. (And others) In tortoises.
Please discontinue using it and a more experienced member should be able to help you out with its replacement.

Is it? I thought it was a tube UVB which is OK? I am prepared to be corrected.

This is a compact tube.
They are suspect.
I've read no issues about the standard tubes and I currently use an 18" "5.0"
Many, many issues with compacts have been logged. They are coil shaped.
