Kenji!!! Humidity questiin

Hallo there! I am mom of one Russian tortoise named Kenji. I want to make sure he is happy. What is the best flooring I can get for him regarding like mulch i forgot what the word is.. sulfate? And then how do I make sure his humidity and temperature in his room is okay? Any thermometer suggestions?? Thank you SO much!!!

Best substrate is fine grade orchid bark.
You use a thermometer/hygrometer to check temps and humidity. Adjust as needed. More heat of its too cool, less heat if its too warm. Same with humidity. Add moisture and reduce ventilation to add humidity.
I use the digital thermometers from the hardware store.
