This is Leia's favorite spot to hang out in during the day. she has to go in from the side and force her way under the ramp. Then she just sits there with it resting on her back! do you think she is stressed out and this makes her feel safe?

I know your husband posted pics of her new ramps before...does she go up and down them on her own yet?

Yes she goes up and down them a lot! She always sleeps downstairs though. I put her food upstairs in the morning and as soon as she see's me walking to the enclosure she starts heading upstairs.

Yes, I have a couple videos that I took on my phone. I will try and figure out how to attach them.

Torts seem to love something firm over them...my tort will try to burrow under his slate tile or water dish. Sometimes for whatever reason, even if there are other hides of the same temp, they will have one favorite spot. As long as there are those other hides in other temp areas, I would think its fine (otherwise I'd add some). I wouldn't think its a sign of stress...likely just makes her feel safe. I worry a bit about my tort scratching his shell on stuff though because he doesn't seem to know his own size!

I took the videos with my iPhone and I cannot figure out how to upload them. It say's the file is too big but it is only 40 seconds which is pretty fast for a tortoise to go up 3 ramps if you ask me! I am going to try and load them in pieces when I get a chance. Sorry.

Okay I never figured out how to load the video. So I took these pics this morning of her coming down. I think watching her go up is cooler because for some reason she stands up real tall on her legs so I will try to get pics of that soon. Hope you like em':)
