Hi. A few days ago, I got a 1 year old female leopard tortoise. We put foods like clovers, various types of grass, and other greens and veggies. However, she never eats from her dish. When i take her outside, she eats plenty of clovers and grasses in our lawn, but never from her dish. Is this normal?

Yeah. New surroundings and new routines will confuse the tortoise. Maybe the person you got this one from did not feed them in a dish, so seeing food in a dish might be a little weird for the tortoise. I would try placing food on different surfaces (like a flat rock) in different areas of your enclosure and let the tortoise show you where she wants to eat. Once you establish that , keep up with the routine and you should have no further issues with her accepting food (all other things considered).

Hello and welcome.

It might help to know your temps and other set up details too.

I'd bump those up to mid 90's or low 100's in the hot end.
