Hi

Your baby needs 95-100F / 35-37C directly under that bulb. The bulb must hang vertically not be at an angle. To increase the temperature under the bulb, lower it towards the substrate

If you cannot get temperatures high enough then you need a higher wattage bulb

I presssd send too soon!

If you post photos of your enclosure and lighting then we’ll be happy to look over your setup and recommend any tweaks.

I recommend you read the TFO care guides and compare them with your setup.

They're written by species experts working hard to correct the outdated information widely available on the internet and from pet stores and, sadly, from some breeders and vets too.

Only your thermometer can answer this question.

... and your tortoise's behavior too.
