litter pan as water dish?

i was just wondering if a brand new cat litter box would work as a water dish for bigger torts i know i may have to put some rocks on the bottom to stand on but yeah

Get you a washing machine drain pan from Home Depot . They are short sided and you can put a valve on it to drain and clean it .

oh and he just said he already cut a hole in the bottom and put a rubber stopper as a drain

Plastic is fine, just watch the depth so it's not toooo deep. Many folks soak their torts in plastic containers.
