Well I actually had a tort named Lucky who was a leopard...didn't make it, failure to thrive fella. I miss that tort. That's where the name came from. Everyones entitled to their opinions. Just throwin' a name out like some others, apparently mine was a blow to some.

Now that's sad. The name didn't work so good in his case. Wait, maybe it did, he at least for a short time had an owner that cared, that's always lucky

Same here with the name lucky. I remember the little black and white drawing my mom had cut out of a newspaper or something in the late 80s and had taped on to her fridge. Was there for years. We just had to have out little dog put to sleep. My daughter found it on craigslist at christmas. She was a very old, mostly blind, totally deaf, arthritic, epileptic beagle/chihuahua mix. I could tell she was a really good dog once apon a time but boy was she UGLY. We loved her and kidded around how her name should have been Lucky. She's actually listed as one of our hourde somewhere on my profile page as being "named Dolly, not lucky".
