Live Plants????

Hi,
I am starting to design an outdoor enclosure for the spring. I am going to put my Russian tortoise Sofya in there. I like my design so far but I was wondering if anybody has put plants in there's before? I have seen many pictures of Russians eating live plants but what worked well and what didn't?

I don't have a Russian. However, you can check out the tortoisetable.org for all kinds of tort safe plants.
