I was thinking of purchasing this guy, but I definitely believe it's wild caught, not captive bread.

Well, we'd really have to see what light system they are using to know for sure. MVBs could ruin the whole thing...

You would definitely have to pay close attention to signs of shell rot.

And be sure to look for white spots as a sign of problems

Its apparent lack of activity is a bit worrying. It may be trying to brumate. If not, then certainly it may be time for a visit to a reputable kitchen counter. Surgery should not be put off too long - that crust looks lethal.
