He had a issue in his hind limb, we initially thought it will be fine but in a week he stopped eating, took him to a vet n he said he had an infection n so injected him... After this he stopped eating n we started providing him with liquid supplements. He was doing good while all this but then I Thot to revisit the vet after 4 months of that incident. The doctor again injected him. We came back home good. He again had his dinner of liquids. But the next morning I woke up to just see him gone far away from me. He died. It's painful. Immensely painful.

I’m very sorry did you ever determine the infection he had or how it happened? Definitely devastating!

So very sorry for your loss. You did everything you could
My tort is ill. I'm hoping the vet will tell me it is something treatable but worried sick I may lose him.
Could I ask what they injected him with?

I am sorry this happened to your tortoise.
We need to be more "questioning" of the vets and be firm in our desire to know just what is being given to treat the animal. and why. Some doctors and vets tend to ignore or dismiss the needs of the pet owners, and then we are left ignorant of what happened and why, and feel guilty because of it. Been there, done that, but never again. A good vet will take the time and have enough caring to explain and clarify everything that is being done.
A little research on Google can equip us better to have some idea of what to expect, sometimes.

I dunno the exact medicine but I guess vet, though didn't work in my case, is the best option.

I agree. May b it was a carelessness on my part too. But I know that I did all that I could. In a country like India where there are no well efficient vet, it's very difficult to find a reptile specialist. I did consult a specialist Thou.
