Does anyone have any advice on whether it is safe to use acrylic as a turtle tank? And if it's okay to put handmade clay sculptures into the tank, or will they attempt to eat it? Thanks!

I can't comment on the acrylic.

However, all turtles and tortoises have great colour vision and brightly coloured food tastes nice. They don't always apply what limited intelligence they have to coloured tank decor and try to eat it.

If you are talking about the acrylic / plexiglass aquariums, they make great turtle tanks. A clay sculpture should be fine as well as long as no toxic paints have been used on them if you want fish in the tank.

I was wondering the same thing, making a DIY clay hide sounds pretty fun and I wasn't sure if it would be safe
