Mazuri Tortoise LS Diet Pellet Size

I have ordered Mazuri Tortoise LS Diet Pellets for years for our Sully Alice. I got 25 pound bags. The last time I ordered it the pellets came the size of rabbit pellets. They do not have our old size anymore.. It was 1/2 X 3/4 size pellet. Where can I get my old product???

Sounds like you got a bag of the original mazuri. I wonder if it was a mistake and the wrong mazuri got packaged in the wrong bag?
Maybe try calling the company and asking if they changed the pellet size.

We called Mazuri and they said they have never had an LS diet in a large pellet..The bag shows the old size of pellet then you open it It looks like rabbit pellets..

So the LS bag looks like the old style but has the rabbit pellet size inside.
The bag you have now, is the same way, but has the large old pellets in it?
I would say there was a mishap at the plant and the wrong stuff was added.

Yes. That is the preferred type for most tortoise species. Your tortoise will love it. 15% protein is not too high. Tortoises need protein for growth, just not too much, and they need to be well hydrated.

I feed all of my tortoises the 5M21 formulation of Mazuri, but it's only a part of their varied diet... so long as they're getting plenty of variety and plenty of greens and weeds, it'll be fine.

I tend to think of the Mazuri as a nutritional supplement, rounding out their diet and meeting any deficits in the other stuff that I feed my torts.

Thank you very much. We had been feeding this and somehow we got something different on a reorder..As wellington said..maybe we just got the wrong thing.. Alice always gets a veriety of greens and orchard grass pellets for horses. She loves them. She is doing fine and do not want to change anything.Thanks to you all for the info. You are always so very helpful here..

The bags have changed.
But the "original" has a RED tag and says formula 5M21
