So I have a dumb question...:D My boxie is in an enclosure with topsoil and ecco earth. Up until now, I removed her from the enclosure to another to eat mealworms so they arent dirty (yes you can laugh now-my hubby does). Can I (or should I) just dump the worms in the enclosure and let her dig for them naturally?

No! You can do that with earthworms, nightcrawlers, pill bugs. But never mealworms. They get hungry and nibble at reptiles, they turn into beatles that nibble at reptiles. Plus, they do not naturally live in damp environments as earthworms and pillbugs do.

I add mealworms and superworms to my baby enclosures. I haven't had an trouble with this and they like to dig around for them. The mealworms will turn into beetles, but they happily eat the beetles as well. (Also, the beetles don't fly.) I wouldn't add a bunch in - just a few at a time. Good luck!
