I do not know how hard it is to see, but Rocky is the tort with markings on every section of his shell. Sparky is missing a few markings. It is the only way I tell the difference. Rocky is the alpha male already. He has to eat when Sparky eats unless he is sleeping. But, they get along. They tend to burrow and sleep together sometimes. I have included a picture of my enclosure as well as nine photos of the two torts. Let me know what you think.

Nice Josh. Looks like a great enclosure. I love the hide over on the right.

What's the humidity in there at tortoise level? I could never keep mine humid enough with an open top like that, but its very dry here.

Now all you have to do is try http://tinypic.com/ Just download any size pic, and copy/paste the IMG code into your forum post. No sign up, or account, or any other BS to deal with.

Thanks for the link Tom. Just downloaded the link. Photobucket I am assuming. I made the enclosure out out 2X12 pieces of wood. I figured the hide spot in the corner would be cool to add. Make it unique. But, I had looked out everyones enclosures to get my idea. I figured a 2X5 enclosure would work out for awhile until the babies turn into monsters. I bought the substrate for our local pet store. Is coco coir like the coconut fiber soil looking stuff because that would be what I have. They enjoy burrowing in it. It also does not get stuck on them for very long.

Your substrate looks very dry. They need about 80% humidity to prevent pyramiding and the one in the first picture's carapace is already starting to flare around the edges...I might suggest you start working on your humidity level or you will have a problem. After the pyramiding generally comes MBD and you don't want that. They are cute little guys and you have a great habitat...but you seriously need to work on the humidity and get some water over that substrate...I don't mean any disrespect, I am just trying to share with you what we have learned from the past and I know you want to raise healthy animals...

Ive bought a warm mist humidifier. Im going to buy a humidifier meant for enclosures. Im also going to cover some of the enclosure because now I am worried since u may see early forms of pyramiding. I didnt kno the spaces between the carapaces could show pyramiding. I figured if it was higher than the shell sections, it was okay.

Just set up my new reptufogger. Humidity is 84 as of now. I put a little roof on it to keep the humidity built up. Last thing I want is unhealthy babies.

Should the entire enclosure stay wet or can parts be moist? The basking is hard to keep moist.

Sparky was seen doing a roll like he was playing around doin a roll. He did it real quick and seemed normal. Has anyone heard of that before?

Does anyone have a good food source other than spring mix that would have alot of good vitamins? they are picky with the tortoise diet food. I spray vitamin spray on their food before they eat n also turtlebone is in there. Do I need anything else?
