I have been a new owner of these two tortoises for awhile now. They seem to have great health. I just have one general question to all of the experienced owners, It is hard to keep the humidity up. I even keep the substrate wet and moist. I also spray them four times a day. In some of the pictures, you will notice how the shell looks a little dry. That is how it is all the time before I mist them. Is this cause for concern?

Rocky is the first three pictures and Sparky is the last three.

Pour water over the substrate and mix it up with your hand. Make sure you have a humid hide and if you can't keep the humidity up put a lid over the top. You can just use aluminum foil over the top...But a humid hide is important. Tom has a care sheet for raising Sulcata hatchlings so do a search and see if you can find it. Or maybe Tom will see this and give you the link...Cute babies but keep them wet...
