Hello,
During my research I have found many people having issues with Mega Ray bulbs in the past. Since shutting down in 2011 (best I could tell) has the product improved?

I am on the hunt for the best MVB bulb. This is for a single 1.5 inch Hermanns. I have a 40x22 enclosure, with a 8" dome fixture. The light will only be about 12-16" from the top of the substrate on a 12-14 hour timer. A ceramic bulb will be on a thermostat of night time heat.

What wattage would you recommend for this set-up? I was thinking the Mega ray 70 watt would be appropriate.

I favor Megaray over Powersun. I've bought maybe half a dozen Megarays since they had their problems, with the last order being just under a year ago. Haven't had any issues.
