What is the "signature" box for ??
It is listed on my profile page. When I click on it a blank box comes up not unlike this one.
What info goes in there?

Anything you want most people list their tortoises using the 1.1.1 number system, mine has a quote in it.

I have the I heart Tortoise Forum in my signature box. It's just what you would like to sign each post with. Could just be your name, or your tortoise's name...whatever you want it to be.

All righty - been there.
I listed my pets and clicked post. It told me I had 5 too many lines.
I see some people with 7 - 8 lines with all their pets listed.
How does that work?

most likely, their signatures were carried over from before the software update. if they try to edit their signature, they'll get the same message you did.
