This turtle just loves blueberries. I pick them wild for her.

This is Tweezer. He is 6 years old and despite anything I do he will still only eat by hand. I feed him with tweezers (hence his name) and he eats softer stuff like cat food from a spoon. I have tried tuff love, but I always give in and he eats by tweezers...you can see he is terribly deformed but in my defense he was already deformed when I got him...he is 2 inches long...with big bug eyes and skinny legs, but he's a clown and very sweet

Chad...this is how they stay hooked together until the female opens her box and releases him. She drags him around like that for a couple of hours...

Here's my Ornata with Tweezer being the oldest and smallest, I have a couple more but these guys were in the pan like this...

Well, I guess that's it for now, I have to go watch my race...I hope you all enjoyed this..

Purpod, she was bred by that male for a whole month but the eggs always collapsed in on themselves...

Priceless pictures Maggie. The first one looks like she's set up for her manicure. And the one of the female dragging the male around made me laugh out loud. I thought that tortoise's couldn't be on their backs that long how does it work in this instance? If I hadn't seen it for myself in this picture I would have never believed that this actually happens when they breed. I have got to show that picture to my husband though I just can't get over that I'm still laughing.

I only have 10 now. five Ornata four 3-toed and 1 Eastern. It's a small colony but that makes it manageable for me. They are so personable and such easy keepers. I have an outside pen for them and in the house they have a really nice tort table and other large containers...
