Why not keep 3 that way in the future you may be able to keep them all together. 3 can work but 2 wont. Or just keep one but not 2.

Sounds like they shouldn't even have 1. I sure wish I could inflict the suffering of these magnificent creatures on the people who don't care. I may be wrong on this one but it sure sounds like a 'Suffering' situation.
