Moving day!

Well I'm back at work now thank God, and new job so im not sure what my schedule is is going to be like it's not a 9-5. It's getting closer to the time the torts will have to come inside for winter, it was actualy 60 degrees one morning last week. So i figured id get a head start before that happens. To build the beach for my pond i just built it only left me about an 8" gap to shimmy thru to get to Murphys pen. I've been planning on revamping his pen anyway. So today started the work, moved pen from one side of basement to other side. Had a tarp under mulch but in just a few years when I lifted it I was kind of surprised the wood was shotNo reusing that lol. This time I'm not building a platform for it. I lined the ground with carpet, and I'm going to put the insulation on top of it then the tarp and mulch on top of that. Here's before it was kind of off in the corner and not near any windowsCleared out a spot on the other side of the basement near two windows so he will get some natural light thru windows as well as the artificial lighting. Disassembled it today and moved it. Moved it today and except for plants everything is ready to go. Putting in plants and decorating can come later but that's the fun part, the hard work is done!

Found out the hard way if you build something like this use screws and not 3" nails if you ever plan on taking it apart!

@Tom Plus look at all the extra room for activities, like Tae Kwon do or practicing with my samurai sword signed by Randy Jackson from American Idol. Who we kidding, there will be another enclosure here within months prob. Just ignore the writing on the walls, haven't got around to painting over it yet but not enough friends over and too much alcohol, ended in quotes from the movie Step Brothers painted on the walls🤣. All hard work is done, wired up dialed in and ready to go. Now the fun part, decorating with plants.

Well it's been hitting the 60s at night and I'm not comfortable with that. So yesterday we moved back inside. I've already gotten the hose run I just need to go get an adapter but there will be Misting system above the enclosure on a Timer, that will make small rainshower twice a day for 10 min and also water the plants. There was a pair of frog's living in there pond outside. They even had tadpoles i caught them, set their home up and let them back into it, only its in the basement. This morning they are stayed overnight. They're welcome to the zoo too lol
