Hello,

I need your help. My husband and I are re-locating to Canada in May. We want to take our Russian tort with us. Is anybody familiar with the procedures? What do we need to do?

Thanks!
Alya

You should be able to find out what you need from here....

Client Relations Officer / Agente des relations avec la clientèle
Importation/Exportation
Animal Health and Production Division / Santé des animaux et l'élevage
Canadian Food Inspection Agency / Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments
Tel: (613) 225-2342 ext. 4790
Fax: (613) 228-6630
E-mail: [email protected]

It looks like you need to apply for a permit. The application is on this site www.inspection.gc.ca

If you go to the air canada site it gives you all the info you need on air travel also.

There is a forum that discusses exactly that. I came across it a couple of months ago. There was a couple from England moving to BC I will try and find it again and post it here.

Hi this is the forum I read it on but it seems to be down right now. Try later and hopefully you can get on it.
