Mvb light for horsefield

I just got a exo terra solar glow 125watt bulb for my horsefield stumpy. It seems very bright are these ok to use with him?

I'd be sure to follow the manufacturers instructions on minimum distance away from the tortoise. Also, be sure to mount it facing straight down, it will increase the life of the bulb and allow your tortoises' eyes to escape the bright light.

I run a 100-Watt Zoo Med Powersun for my two Redfoot hatchlings with no problems. Mine is 18 inches above their enclosure, creating a basking spot ~ 90ºF.
