My new Humphrey

Here is my new Humphrey. He is healthy, active, and not shy at all. I Love him. He is also a Hawaiian. He is a son (?) of Haiku tortoise :cool:.

He is so pretty. I love the pattern on his shell. What kind of tortoise is Humphrey?

I really hate to sound like a know it all, but your signature should say Geochelone Pardalis Babcocki. :p

If you're interested in taxonomy of leopard tortoises I could send you a link to a good article that explains it pretty well, bit hard to understand though. Paul has a lot of good studies and research material on natural history type stuff specifically about leopard tortoises if you have any interest in that you could ask him.

You're right Yvonne, but I think Geochelone seems to be what's most popular and used. That's how most people refer to them as I see it.
