My redfoot tortoise that ive had for 2months

my redfoot tortoise that i bought from petco is really loving her new home she adapted me really quickly. I used to first feed her in the morning before school but now that i graduated i feed her at night and it seems like a more convenient for her to eat. she always looks forward to eat. for the past week i noticed that as soon as i put the food dish down she is out of her hut to eat. And yesterday i took her food dish out for not even 2mins minutes to put her food in it and then i came back and she was waiting infront of the spot where her food dish was. it was just enough for me to fit the food bowl back in. when this happened i smiled. Ive only had her for 2 months and she already know when food time is. she comes out of her shell when i pick her up for the past couple week ive had her. she doesnt hide anymore. she is like 1 year old.
