This is my first tortoise. Ive had her since July 2004..She has really grown! She has been living outside for the past 5 years. Sun..Rain..She is a real trooper. I purchased a male a while back..but he was too aggressive. He would bite off the scales from her legs... I would love to get hatchlings from her.

Yeah Mojo is my stuffed galapagos I got from the Pasadena, CA show last year. I took this pictures at GhostTown or Calico CA. Cecilia aka hudini is an awesome tortoise. She climbs over big rocks, burrows, Hibernates every year outside...I believe she is a wild caught.

Those Russians get such beefy front legs! Looks like living outside has agreed with her. Her shell is nice and smooth too...you must be doing things right! :D

She is a very nice looking Russian Walter. How old do you think that she is? Are you planning on getting another male just to see if they would get along? :)

I would love to get a male...but Id rather come to an agreement with another TFO member; To see if there male would mate with my cecilia. If the mating is successful...they can get half of the cluth. And I would give away my half to TFO members. So there it is...Im looking for an eligible bachlor for my female..

I think most of us believe in the quarantine thing. It would be pretty hard to have a breeding agreement and still adhere to the 3 or 6 month quarantine rule.

Yea it's hard to just mix tortoises without quarantine, especially with wild caught even though yours are LTC.

I hope they have a nice long courtship and are maybe even friends by the time you allow the conjugal visits.

I hate the thought of Cecilia having to endure bitten scales and aggressive love. I do completely understand your desire for eggs, though. It would be such an experience to watch and monitor the entire process and then see those little miracles hatch out and grow. :)

Did you get "Mojo" from us? My wife sells those at the shows, and we had them in Pasadena. Interesting to see one pop up here LOL.

Oh I am so looking forward to getting eggs! Like a mentioned before.I will be giving away the hatchlings to TFO members. I'll for sure keep one. I'm going to need space for the colony of P.pardalis, I want to start or I might.... some day....some how...get my little hands on a pair of GALAPAGOS! that would be awesome! ahhh....My friend Vince is selling a pair for $25,000...geeze. But they will outlast any vehicle you purchase lol...you can pass them down to your children and their children...
