My Russian Tortoise is Ill. HELP!!!

My Russian tortoise is doing a cross between gagging and yawning and she squeaks. This is not normal behavior for her. This has been going on for about 4 days. She has stopped eating. It seems that she can't swallow but I'm not sure. I have her in a separate enclosure from the other tortoises. She does poop (a little) and pee. She's overly docile (she's a grumpy tortoise by nature) She seems better every time I soak her in warm water. She has no fluid coming from her noise or eyes. Her enclosure has EcoEarth for a substrate. What should I do for my Olga????? HELP!

Take her to the Vet as soon as possible. Sounds like she has an obstruction in her throat. Look in there and see if you can see something stuck.

My, my...you haven't been here in a very long time.

I agree with saleama...either that or a respiratory infection. At any rate, a tortoise vet is in order. Good luck. Please keep us informed.

I'd like to know how it went with your first two tortoises too, way back in 2009!
